Zeryhia Aokuso led the Saint Mary's women's basketball team to another 2-0 week in conference play and was named the Shamrock Office Solutions Student-Athlete of the Week for the first time in her career. Aokuso went for 16 points, five rebounds and three assists in the team's thrilling overtime victory over Pacific on Saturday. The Gaels trailed by as many as 16 points in the game and Aokuso connected on the game winning jumper as time expired to give Saint Mary's the 80-78 OT win, their third overtime win this season.
Then on Monday, Aokuso put up a season high 21 points on an efficient 6-8 shooting while also going 9-11 from the stripe to lead the Gaels to a ten-point victory over San Diego.
