Women's Volleyball Falls to Gonzaga, 3-2

Moraga, CA - The Saint Mary's women's volleyball (4-11/1-3 WCC) team lost to Gonzaga University (13-7/2-3 WCC), 3-2 on Friday night in McKeon Pavilion. Individual game scores were 28-30, 30-24, 30-20, 26-30, and 11-15.

The Gaels were led by Stacey O'Connor who posted 13 kills, 9 block assists and 5 digs in the match. O'Connor hit a career-high .632 in the match. Erin Gravert hit a career-high .706 in the match, posting 12 kills in 17 attempts with zero errors. Gravert also posted four service aces in the match. Lindsey Bogason posted her fourth double-double of the season with 16 kills and 16 blocks. Senior Meg Hauser also posted a double-double, tallying 13 kills and 13 digs. Setter Brooke Lowry posted a match-high 58 assists and also tallyied 11 digs. The match marked Lowry's sixth 50-plus-assist match of the season.

Leading the way for the Bulldogs was Christina Davis, who posted match-highs of 19 kills and 19 digs. Setter Missy Perry contributed 49 assists and 15 digs, while Natasha Kozed posted 15 kills and seven digs.

The Gaels return to action on tomorrow night, when they play the University of Portland at 7:05 p.m. in McKeon Pavillion.
