San Francisco, CA- The Saint Mary's women's volleyball team was defeated by the Lady Dons of San Francisco on Saturday night by the final score of 3-1. Game scores for the Lady Dons defeat of the Gaels were 30-25, 30-21, 25-30, and 30-20. With the loss the Gaels fell to 2-5 in WCC action and 15-9 on the season, while the Lady Dons improved their conference record to 3-4 and their overall record to 19-4.

Leading the Gaels on the night was Jill Parmele and Kaui Salzman. Parmele recorded a team-high 18 kills and also posted six digs and three block assists. Salzman, a sophomore, also played well for the Gaels as she recorded another double-double in conference action in kills and digs. The sophomore finished with 12 kills and 10 digs on the match. She also recorded two solo blocks and two block assists against the Lady Dons.

Also playing well for the Gaels were Cassandra Kolkka and Mariko Coverdale. Kolkka totaled five kills and a team-high 15 digs on the match, while Coverdale finished with four kills and three block assists.

The Gaels will next take the court on Tuesday, October 28th At 7:05 PM as they host san Jose State in McKeon Pavilion.
