Saint Mary's Inducts Six New Members to Athletic Hall of Fame
Nearly 300 People Attend 2007 Hall of Fame Banquet

Moraga, CA - The 2007 Saint Mary's Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony took place on Sunday afternoon in front of nearly 275 alumnae, friends, and family in the Soda Center on the campus of Saint Mary's College. The six inductees in the Hall of Fame Class of 2007 included:
Trisha (Dean) Ford class of 1999, is the only softball player to have her number retired at Saint Mary's College. Trisha is the all time Gael leader in batting average at .364, hits with 230, RBI with 114, and doubles with 62. She is also in the top 10 of five career statistical categories and eight single season statistical categories.
John Leykam has been affiliated with Saint Mary's since 1984. John joined the College as Director of Public Relations and has also served as a Development Officer, Senior Director of External Relations and currently serves as the Special Assistant to the Director of Athletics. Mr. Leykam was awarded the Signum Fidei Award and the Spirit Award by the Department of Athletics in 2004.
Ed Lickiss founded the crew program at Saint Mary's in 1965 and coached through 1975. Coach Lickiss led the Gaels to the 1967 West Coast Championships and a fourth place finish at the 1967 US Nationals. After his coaching duties at Saint Mary's, Coach Lickiss served on the United States Olympic Committee for eight years and led the US Women's Rowing delegation to the 1973 World Championships.
James Mouton, class of 1991, was a four-time All-WCC outfielder, 1988 WCC freshman of the Year, and is a Top Ten WCC Career Leader in hits, runs, stolen bases and bases on balls. James followed up his collegiate career with eight seasons in the Major Leagues with Houston, San Diego, Montreal and Milwaukee. In 2006 James was named to the WCC/Rawlings 40th Anniversary Baseball Team as a result of his stellar intercollegiate career.
Cassidy O'Hara, class of 1988, is the all time leading tackler for the Gaels with 452. As team captain, Cassidy led the Gaels to its first and only undefeated 10-0 record in 1988. He was named the Northern California College Division Defensive Player of the Year in 1987, when he amassed 137 tackles, one sack, and one fumble recovery. Cassidy was also named the Northern California College Division Player of the Week in 1985 when he had 19 tackles and two fumble recoveries against Sacramento State.
Tracy (Morris) Johnston, class of 2000, was the 1996-97 WCC Freshman of the Year and a three time All-WCC women's basketball player. Tracy is the all time leading scorer in SMC Women's Basketball history with 1807 points. She is also the statistical leader in single season games played, single game free throws made and attempted, while also landing in the top 10 of 10 other statistical categories. Tracy led the Gaels to the NCAA Tournament in 1999 and the WNIT in 2000.
Also being honored was the 1985 NAIA National Championship Women's Volleyball team. This team finished the 1985 season with a 32-8 record after defeating Biola in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for the NAIA Championship. The team included Jacqueline Banks, Kathy (Basila) Markel, Lisa (Bertaccini) Ward, Anne (Cooper) Silva, Theresa (Hanks) Attalah, Kathleen (Hurley) Snashall, Jodi Jaques, Lisa (McDermott) Street, Gina (Miller) Ucceli, Darlene Parker, Ana (Robles) Yamauchi, and Christine (Vorpahl) Talan.
Also honored for more than 40 years of service to the Hall of Fame was Richard Piedmonte '49.
