Candidates for induction must meet the following criteria:

1. The candidate must have been out of school five years before being eligible for selection.

2. A candidate must have a Saint Mary's College degree.

3. The candidate will be evaluated first on his/her achievements in athletics and secondly for his/her service to Saint Mary's College and to his/her community.

The Honors Court, by a vote of two-thirds of the membership, may waive any requirement in extraordinary circumstances.

The individual making the nomination is responsible for completing the form and providing as much background information on the candidate as is available.
