2008 Fall Media Guides Available Online!

Moraga, CA – The Saint Mary's sports information crew is pleased to announce that the soccer and volleyball media guides are available for fans online. To access the guides visit the respective sport's homepage and click on 2008 Media Guide link in the left-hand toolbar. Complete guides are available in PDF Format, and can also be viewed by section (Quick Facts, Rosters, Bios, etc). For hard copies of the media guides please visit the ticket booth at any home soccer or volleyball match, guides are $10 apiece. Fans can also send a check payable to Saint Mary's College to the media relations office to receive their guide via mail.

THIS WEEK IN WOMEN'S SOCCER: This week the Saint Mary's women's soccer team will travel to Oregon for games against Portland State and Oregon. Saint Mary's will open the week on Friday with a 7 p.m. game against Portland State from PGE Park. Two days later, SMC will travel to Eugene for a Sunday afternoon game against the Oregon Ducks. The game between the Gaels and Ducks will kick-off at 1 p.m. from Pape Field.

THIS WEEK IN MEN'S SOCCER: The Saint Mary's Men's Soccer team will begin its 2008 home schedule this weekend, hosting the Saint Mary's Tournament. The Gaels will will kick-off their home opener when they play Houston Baptist at 4:30 on Friday, September 5. The Gaels will then play the tournament finale on Sunday, September 7 when they play UC Irvine at 2:30 pm.

WHAT'S ON SCHEDULE FOR VOLLEYBALL: Saint Mary's volleyball will look to continue their hot start to the 2008 season, as they continue their road stand at the Sacramento State Invitational. The Gaels will play three matches, starting on Friday, September 5 at 5:00 PM against the San Jose State Spartans. Another two-match day awaits the team on Saturday, September 6, as they face CS Northridge at 10:00 AM and the host school Sacramento State at 7:30 PM.
