The clinic is FREE and open to Special Olympics athletes of all ages and skill levels. Each Special Olympics athlete will receive a commemorative event t-shirt and complimentary tickets to an SMC soccer game.
"Special Olympics Northern California is proud to participate in the upcoming Soccer and Basketball clinics hosted by Saint Mary's College," said Laura Cartwright of Special Olympics. "Our organization has proven that through sports competition, Special Olympics Athletes are given the chance to strengthen their character, develop their physical skills and fulfill their human potential. Through generous opportunities to learn from and compete side by side with collegiate athletes, we are changing the way the world looks at people with developmental disabilities. We are grateful for the opportunity for our athletes to join forces with athletes at St. Mary's College to achieve our mission."
This will be Common Interest Management's first year sponsoring the clinics. "On behalf of all of our employees and the Bay Area communities that we serve, we are proud to sponsor these clinics for Special Olympics in partnership with Saint Mary's College," said Mike Archer, CEO of Common Interest Management. We are delighted to make a difference in the lives of these wonderful individuals and athletes."
