MORAGA, Calif. -- The 35th Annual Car Drawing presented by Steadauto.com took place on Saturday, February 11th on the campus of Saint Mary's College. The event included delicious food stations, a hosted bar and an extensive silent auction. This year's event raised more than $55,000 for the Gael Athletic Fund and student-athlete scholarships.
Dee Murray, who has participated in the drawing for many years, won the grand prize with ticket #8! The cash prize winners were SMC faculty member Bob Gardner and SMC parent Fabia Massaro.
Cross Country Head Coach Marty Kinsey, along with student-athletes Doug Herrick from men's soccer and Christina Tognetti and Kate Brenot from women's soccer spoke to the crowd of almost 300 people, highlighting how support of the Gael Athletic Fund allows the Gaels to compete at the highest levels of the NCAA.
This is the 17th year Steadauto.com has served as the presenting sponsor for the Car Drawing and this event has raised more than $1.8 million for Saint Mary's athletic scholarships over the past 34 years.
