MORAGA, Calif. -- The 36th Annual Saint Mary's College Car Drawing presented by Steadauto.com took place Saturday, Feb. 2 and ended a huge success, with more than $52,000 raised for the Gael Athletic Fund and student-athlete scholarships.
The event included delicious themed food stations, a hosted bar and an extensive silent auction.
Former SMC alumni director Sue Stabler '81 won the grand prize with ticket #366. The cash prize winners were Anne Baumann HON and Claudia Crandall.
Saint Mary's Director of Athletics Mark Orr and head cross country coach Marty Kinsey spoke to the crowd of 250 people, highlighting how support of the Gael Athletic Fund allows the Gaels to compete at the highest levels of the NCAA.
This is the 18th year Steadauto.com has served as the presenting sponsor for the Car Drawing, and the event has raised more than $1.85 million for Saint Mary's athletic scholarships over the past 35 years.
