Help Select The Best Saint Mary's Moments From 2014

MORAGA, Calif. -- Tis the season for list-making, and the Saint Mary's athletic department is getting ready to ring in the new year by taking a look back at some of the Gaels' best moments in 2014.

Instead of picking our 10 favorite memories of the year, we're asking for Gael Nation to weigh in on what they remember from 2014. Were you at McKeon Pavilion when the Gaels men's hoops team rallied to beat Utah in the National Invitation Tournament? Or, were you in Las Vegas to see the women's basketball team rally from 17 points down to beat San Diego at the WCC Tournament? Perhaps you SoCal Gaels were in the house when baseball's Cameron Neff fired a four-hitter at nationally ranked Cal State Fullerton?

Wherever you were, if you're reading this then chances are you followed Saint Mary's athletics in 2014. Now, we're asking Gaels fans to visit our Facebook page (facebook.com/smcgaels) and let us know what you think was the top Saint Mary's moment of the year that was. Leave a comment and we'll take the fans' voices into account when we begin our countdown of all things SMC Athletics in 2014.

Remember, your favorite moment might not be something that happened on the court or field. Did you attend the Gael All-Star Classic and finally get a chance to meet an SMC legend like Tom Meschery or Matthew Dellavedova. Maybe you attended the First Pitch Dinner and shared in the laughter brought forth by emcee Tom Wilson. Whatever the event, we're guessing you had a Saint Mary's moment in 2014 and we're calling on all Gaels to share theirs.

We'll announce top moments six through 10 on Jan. 2, then unveil one per day for the next five days as we lead up to the best of 2014. That gives you a few weeks to weight in and join in the Saint Mary's spirit as we look forward to another successful year to come. Visit our Facebook page (facebook.com/smcgaels) to join in the discussion.
