AS A SOPHOMORE (2016): Appeared in only four games, starting in one against Nevada on Apr. 5 … Played in a total of 2.2 innings with one strikeout against Central Michigan on Feb. 26 … Didn't allow any homeruns thought the season.
AS A FRESHMAN (2015): Played a key role as a right-handed reliever and led the team in appearances in his first season as a Gael ... Appeared in 21 games with two starts and went 1-3 with a 6.86 ERA and one save ... Pitched 39.1 innings with 21 strikeouts and 21 walks allowed ... After a rocky first appearance in the season opener at Seattle, went on to establish himself quickly with three straight appearances in which he did not allow an earned run ... Earned first collegiate win with 1.2 innings of scoreless relief against CSUN on Feb. 28 ... Worked three scoreless innings in relief against Portland on March 22 to pick up his first save ... Made his first collegiate start on the biggest stage possible, taking the ball against San Francisco at AT&T Park on March 28 and allowing just one unearned run in seven innings ... Also started against Loyola Marymount on on April 3 and returned to the bullpen after that outing.
PRIOR TO SAINT MARY'S: Peoria, Ariz. native prepped at Sunrise Mountain High and went 10-2 with a 2.67 ERA during his high school career ... Pitched 70 innings at Sunrise Mountain, striking out 92 while walking just 27 for the Mustangs ... As a senior, went 2-1 with a 3.67 ERA while leading the team in appearances (10) ... Named All-District first team and made the National Classic and Best of the West All-Tournament teams ... Selected for the Division II All-Star game ... Earned Arizona Interscholastic Association Scholar Athlete award ... Plans to join the Integral program at Saint Mary's.
