MORAGA, Calif. — Dane Pineau has been named the Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week after helping the No. 19 Gaels take down BYU and San Francisco during the week of Jan. 2-8.

In Saint Mary's 63-52 victory over USF, Pineau recorded 14 points off the bench on 6-for-8 shooting while grabbing 12 rebounds to complete his first double-double of the season. Pineau also managed four blocks against the Dons during a season-high 35 minutes on the court.

The 6-9 senior forward played a strong defensive game against BYU, notching four blocks and six rebounds while chipping in four points in 27 minutes. Pineau is now second on the team with 14 blocks in 14 games and leads the team in field goal percentage.

Before squaring up against No. 5 Gonzaga on Saturday, Saint Mary's will travel to Portland to take on the Pilots on Thursday, January 12th at 8 PM. The game will be nationally televised on ESPNU and also broadcast on TuneIn Radio featuring Gaels' play-by-play announcer Alex Jensen.
