Final Stats

PROVO, Utah -- West Coast Conference leader and 10th-ranked BYU thought it would breeze past the Saint Mary's women's volleyball team on Saturday, but not before the Gaels had something to say about it. Saint Mary's came back to win set three and kept set four close before the Cougars pulled away for a 3-1 (25-15, 25-18, 23-25, 25-18) win at George Albert Smith Fieldhouse.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • BYU (23-2, 12-1 WCC) sprinted out the gate in set one with leads of 5-0 and 10-1, cruising to a 25-15 set win. The Cougars hit .441 in the set while holding Saint Mary's (7-17, 3-11 WCC) to .088 hitting.
