Sept. 18, 2017 MORAGA, Calif. - Saint Mary's men's soccer goalkeeper
Remi Prieur has been named Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Sept. 11-17 after helping the Gaels defeat national powerhouse Denver Sunday night.
The sophomore keeper secured four first half saves in his impressive performance versus the Pioneers as the Gaels claimed the 1-0 victory. The clean sheet is Prieur's second of the season, as he improves his season record to 2-1-2.
The second year keeper leads the Gaels with 490 minutes played in the net to go along with a solid 0.92 goals against average. Prieur has a total of 13 saves in five games and a 72.2 saves percentage.
Saint Mary's will have two home non conference matches on schedule for this week, first hosting UC Davis for a midweek showdown. The Gaels take on the Aggies on Thursday, Sept. 21 at 4 p.m. SMC will then host Sacramento State on Sunday, Sept. 24 at 1 p.m.
