MORAGA, Calif. — Lindsey Knudsen has been named Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Sept. 24-30 after she led the Gaels to a perfect, 2-0 win last week over USF and Pacific.
Against the Dons, she had a 20-20 night (kills and digs), leading the team in both categories while also posting a .400 hitting percentage. Knudsen was very effective as a server, collecting six service aces which is the most for any WCC player in a 4-set match this season and she is tied for the most overall.
Against Pacific, she had a team-high, 10 kills while also recording eight digs in SMC's 5-set victory over the Tigers. In nine sets this week, she averaged 15 kills and 14 digs while also collecting seven aces and four blocks in total. Knudsen is currently top-10 in the conference in service aces per set (2nd, 0.58), kills per set (8th, 3.25), and digs per set (9th, 3.00).
With their overall record of 11-3 (3-1 WCC), the Gaels will travel to Southern California this week to play LMU on Oct. 4 at 7 p.m. and Pepperdine on Oct. 6 at noon.
