ABOUT NEW MEXICO STATE
The Aggies enter Wednesday's contest with a 2-0 record with both wins coming at home. New Mexico State began their season with a 73-56 victory over North Dakota State before totalling 96 points in a 27-point thumping over UTEP.

Similar to the Gaels, NMSU is no stranger to winning as the program has earned at least 23 victories each season dating back to 2011-12. Last year, the Aggies won 28 games against only six losses and earned a spot in the NCAA Tournament after winning the WAC Tournament. The team was ultimately defeated 79-68 by fifth-seed Clemson in the first round to end their season.

Through two contests, New Mexico State is producing 84.5 points per game and has balanced scoring in their lineup with four players averaging double-digits. Terrell Brown leads the team with 12.0 points off the bench while JoJo Zamora (11.0), Clayton Henry (11.0), and Ivan Aurrecoechea (10.0) are also pacing the offense. No player on the Aggies' roster is averaging more than 23 minutes per game so far.

Despite the high-offensive numbers, NMSU has had some shooting troubles early as the team is only shooting only 29 percent from three-point distance and 62 percent in 35 trips to the free throw line.

Saint Mary's has dominated the all-time series between the two teams at 5-1 since 2000 and have won the previous five matchups. Last season, the Gaels hosted NMSU in Moraga in their second game of the year and won decisively, 92-74, on the back of Jock Landale's 20-point, 10-rebound performance.

GAELS LAST TIME OUT
In the team's last match against Utah Valley, Jordan Ford paved the way to victory as he recorded a career-high 35 points in the Gaels' 92-63 win. Jordan Hunter also had a career-high 11 points and 21 minutes in the contest while Tanner Krebs chipped in 13 points of his own. Saint Mary's shot over 58 percent from the field and were 8-of-16 on three-point attempts on the night.

Newcomer Malik Fitts made his first start as a Gael after putting up 19 points in the season opener and collected nine points and six boards in 26 minutes versus the Wolverines. Freshman Dan Fotu also saw significant playing time as he appeared in 24 minutes of the game off the bench and grabbed three rebounds.

NATIONAL STATS RANKINGS
Through Nov. 12, Saint Mary's ranks 15th in the nation in field goal percentage at 56 percent and is 26th in three point percentage at 44.7 percent. The team ranked first and seventh in those categories last season, respectively.

Jordan Ford is tied for ninth in the country in points per game with 29. The Gaels' guard is shooting an efficient 64.5 percent from the field and is 5-of-10 from deep.
