HOW IT HAPPENED
- QUARTER 1 | Saint Mary's hung with the Ducks for the majority of the first, taking a 7-5 lead at the 6:20 mark thanks to a 3-pointer from Madeline Holland. Oregon took the next four points and led 9-7 at the first media timeout, but the Gaels had held the opposition to just 1-for-6 from beyond the arc to that point. The Ducks extended their lead to 12 points (24-12) with less than a minute to play however, thanks to back-to-back 3-pointers.
- QUARTER 2 | Junior Jasmine Forcadilla got the scoring going for SMC in the second, knocking down a three from the far corner at the 9-minute mark. The scoring continued to go back-and-forth, but the Gaels outscored the Ducks 14-12 in the period, entering the half with just a 10-point, 36-26 deficit.
- QUARTER 3 | The third quarter was another tightly-contested period, but Oregon managed to push to their lead to 13 points (47-34) at the media timeout. An 8-2 run helped Saint Mary's pull back within nine thanks to a pair of triples from freshman Taycee Wedin and senior Sydney Raggio, but UO exited the period with a 55-42 lead.
- QUARTER 4 | The Ducks built their lead to 16 early in the fourth and the Gaels could not find the run that they needed. Oregon scored a total of 24 points in the final 10 minutes to defeat SMC 79-55.
