The Gaels begin their final regular season roadtrip of the year this week with matches agains Portland and Gonzaga

SCOUTING REPORT
Saint Mary's looks to turn things around this week after two tough losses at home to LMU and Pepperdine. The Gaels are ranked 42nd in the national RPI poll, as well as ranked 25th for aces per set (1.60).

Alexsa "Crash" Parker continues to be efficient for the Gaels this season as she leads the team in service aces (39) by a wide margin. She is nationally ranked 31st for aces per set (0.43) and is tied for 33rd for total service aces. Parker is currently four aces away from tying the program record of 128 career service aces.

Jennifer "Boo" Laird had a strong week last week as she picked up a couple of impressive stats. In the marathon match against the LMU Lions, Laird collected a season-high six blocks and a season-high 15.5 points, as well as 12 kills and one assist while hitting a .556 clip.

This will be the Gaels' final roadtrip of the year before returning to McKeon for a three-game homestand to finish out the regular season.

PORTLAND
The Portland Pilots have an overall record of 18-7 this season and a conference record of 6-7. The Pilots are coming off of a hard-fought 3-2 win against San Francisco last week. Their conference wins this year have come against USF (2), Santa Clara (2), Pacific (1), and Gonzaga (1).

Portland as a team is currently ranked 25th in the nation for hitting percentage (.259), while Katie Parker leads the team with a clip of .360. Other stat leaders for the Pilots include Reghan Pukis who has 299 kills and 3.25 kills per set and Cali Thompson has the most service aces on the squad (33).

GONZAGA
Gonzaga enters the match against Saint Mary's with a record of 8-16 and a conference record of 5-8. The Bulldogs are coming off of a 3-1 win over USF, but will play Santa Clara and Pacific ahead of their match against the Gaels on Saturday.

Jenna Kuehn has the highest hitting percentage for the Bulldogs (.290), and is second in service aces (20) for the team behind Katelyn Oppio (26). Sarah Penner has the most total kills for the Bulldogs (265) and most points (297).
