SYDNEY – The Saint Mary's men's basketball team arrived to their final destination on the foreign tour down under on Monday afternoon, landing in Sydney in the mid-morning.
Â
The Gaels had the day off from basketball and took full advantage of the nice weather and beautiful scenery in Sydney.
Â
Once arriving in the largest city in Australia, the Gaels saw the sights, including the Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge, before heading to the most popular beach in Australia, Bondi Beach.
Â
After having some fun outdoors for a couple of hours, the Gaels headed to a team dinner with local
Jordan Hunter serving as the host. Joining for dinner was former Gael and Sydney native
Emmett Naar, who Saint Mary's will face in tomorrow's game against Illawarra.
Â
"It was really fun having the boys over and showing them my city and family," Hunter said. "This trip has really brought the team together. Today was one of the best days of the trip so far, it was great to be home."
Â

Saint Mary's returns to the court tomorrow night, facing the Illawarra Hawks of the NBL at the Snake Pit, about an hour outside of Sydney in Wollongong.
