MORAGA, Calif. – The Saint Mary's men's basketball team concluded its 12-day foreign tour down under on Thursday, returning to the Bay Area with a direct 13-hour flight from Sydney to San Francisco.
Â
The flight home was the Gaels' sixth flight in the past 12 days, traveling through three countries, six cities, four hotels and countless new experiences and scenery.
Â
"This was an experience of a lifetime, something I will remember forever," sophomore
Malik Fitts said. "It was great team bonding and we came together as a team. We are ready to get back to work and prepare for the season."
Â
Saint Mary's overall went 5-2 in its seven games, only dropping two games to the top NBL teams in Australia, the countries' top league.
