MILWAUKEE — Saint Mary's bounced back from a tough Day 1 to collect two wins on Friday afternoon at the Milwaukee Tennis Classic.
During singles play, senior Daniel Krutik went up against Christopher Casati of DePaul, where he won in two straight sets, 6-4, 6-3. Junior
Matis Bot faced Can Kaya from Cal. Bot took the first set in a 6-2 decision, but Kaya came back and picked up the second set 6-2. Bot however prevailed and eventually won the final set, 11-9.
There were no doubles matches for the Gaels on Friday.
UP NEXT: DAY 3
Day 3 will continue tomorrow as both Gaels will be playing in the singles' consolation Round of 16. There is no doubles' consolation bracket scheduled in the tournament.
