MTEN | Kesaris to Compete in Semifinals of ITA Regionals

Saint Mary's collected six wins on Sunday, including two from Damon Kesaris to advance to the semifinals of the ITA Regionals at Stanford University.

STANFORD, Calif. — Saint Mary's was led by Damon Kesaris on Sunday as he picked up two victories in singles to advance to the semifinals of the ITA Regionals at Stanford.

In the Round of 16, Kesaris defeated J. Nielson from Oregon in straight sets, 6-3, 6-2, to advance to the quarterfinals. During the quarterfinals, Kesairs faced off against Stanford's F. Kolasinski and recorded another straight set win in a 6-3, 6-3 decision.

The Gaels collected four additional wins in consolation singles, including two straight set wins from Akbar Mamirov and Abhishek Bastola. Matis Bot and James Watt each went to three sets in their respective contests as Bot defeated his opposition 5-7, 6-4, 1-0(8) while Watt wrapped up the victories in singles with a 6-4, 4-6, 1-0(8) defeat over J. Pulliam from Washington.
