Damon Kesaris battled on Monday as he competed in the first qualifying round of the ITA All-American Championships.
TULSA, Okla. — Saint Mary's Damon Kesaris put up a hard fight on Monday as he represented the Gaels in the first qualifying round of the ITA All-American Championships.
Kesaris faced off against Florida State's Rana Roop Singh Bhullar in the singles qualifying draw as Bhullar went on to take the first set 6-4. Kesaris made an impressive comeback as he earned a close 6-7(4) victory to win the second. Despite the seniors' strong performance, Kesaris was just narrowly defeated in the final set as he fell short 7-6(1) to Bhullar.
Kesaris will look to advance to the main draw of the ITA All-American Championships as he will compete in the second round of qualifying singles on Tuesday.
