"We are thrilled to be bringing in these two talented athletes and wonderful people," said head coach Rob Browning. "Trinity and Ella are the kind of student-athletes we search for to be a part of the Saint Mary's volleyball family. Each is a high-caliber volleyball player and a quality person with the character traits that we value so much and that will contribute to our continued success on the court and in the classroom. We couldn't be happier to include them and their families into the Gaels' volleyball tradition and to make history as part of the SMC volleyball future."

Trinity Durfee is a native of Del Mar, California and will graduate from Torrey Pines High School in the Spring of 2020. Over her three years on the varsity high school team as well as her club team, Durfee recorded a total of 372 kills with a hitting percentage of 31.2 while collecting 177 blocks and 63 digs. During her senior season, Durfee was named to the AVCA Under Armour Girls High School All-Region Team in early November 2019. Her team will be playing for the state title on Saturday.

"Trinity is a versatile middle blocker who will be a steady and strong presence at the net," said Browning. "She is well-skilled and she knows how to get the job done."
