HONOLULU — Saint Mary's (1-4) dropped the final two contests of the Hawai'i Paradise Classic on Sunday against stiff competition.

Game 1
No. 1 UCLA 13, Saint Mary's 1 (5)

HOW IT HAPPENED
Saint Mary's was able to pick up a run in the fourth inning during their first game on Saturday afternoon, but couldn't overcome a potent UCLA lineup in the 13-1 loss.

Nikki Alexander scored the lone run of the game when Abbey Mariani hit a single into right field to advance Bailey Lotz to third and bring Alexander home. Mariani's single was the lone hit of the contest for Saint Mary's.

In the circle, Eileen Perez pitched 3.2 innings and had one strikeout. Sofia Earle, Eryn McCoy, and Madison Mitchell also made appearances in the circle to close out the game.

UCLA (5-0) collected two runs in the first inning of the game, followed by one in the third and three in the fourth. The Bruins' big inning came in the fifth when they scored seven runs on seven hits, two of which were home runs.

Hawai'i 8, Saint Mary's 0 (6)

HOW IT HAPPENED
Izzy Dino threw a six-inning no-hitter for the Rainbow Wahine as the Gaels dropped their final game of the tournament to the host, Hawai'i (4-1).

Mariani and Jaymee Campbell drew walks in the contest and Hawai'i committed two errors but Saint Mary's couldn't manage to scratch a run across.

Hawai'i struck for two in the second, four in the third, and two more in the sixth to walk-off against the Gaels. Mikaela Gandia-Mak went 3-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs scored to power the UH offense.
