MORAGA, Calif. – The Gaels will take a break from regular season action this weekend as they compete in the Mid-season Conference Tournament on Friday.  

SCOUTING REPORT
The Gaels have posted a 10-5 record this season and have won four of their last six matches. The squad most recently dropped a match to No. 12 Cal when SMC snagged two victories on courts one and two and pushed the No. 3s into a third set. However No. 18 Saint Mary's fell by the score of 3-2. Prior to the losses against Cal, Saint Mary's was on a 10-game winning streak since February 24. The Gaels have completed seven sweeps this season over opponents including one over San Francisco who they will face on first on Friday at 10:00 a.m.

SAN FRANCISCO
The Dons are entering the mid-season tourney with a record of 7-7. The Gaels have already played USF twice this season and won both contests 4-1 and 5-0 respectively. San Francisco is currently on a three-game skid after losing to Sacramento State, SMC, and San Jose State. The team will also face off against Santa Clara, who they beat 3-2 early in the season.

SANTA CLARA
The Broncos will be returning to the court this weekend for the first time since February 23 and have only played two matches this season. Their last time out, Santa Clara was swept by No. 12 Cal and then lost by one set to San Francisco. Alex Anthony/Chloe Loreen and Michelle Gajdka/Liliana Light were the pairs that won sets against the Dons. The Broncos have yet to face the Gaels this season, but the two teams are scheduled to face off twice in April.
