LOS ANGELES — Saint Mary's (3-12) suffered their second straight loss as they were swept by the Lions while on the road Friday.

Matis Bot and Abhishek Bastola nearly claimed a win on Court 1 but their match was called with a 5-3 lead. The Lions took the other two doubles matches with final scores of 6-4 and 6-3.

The Lions earned straight set wins in the second, third and sixth singles slot to take the match. Bot won his first set on Court 4 and James Watt fought into the third set as the Gaels' top player but both matches went unfinished.
