MORAGA, Calif. – Winners of their last two matches, Saint Mary's heads into a weekend where they will face four opponents: Feather River College and Utah at home and San Jose State and No. 13 Stanford in Palo Alto.

The Gaels' last two wins came against No. 11 Stanford (5-0) and San Francisco (4-1). SMC's most successful pair thus far has been freshmen

Selbie Christensen who have three victories including wins in both of their last two matchups against the Cardinal and the Dons. Their first victory came in the team's first match of the year when they faced off with No. 5 Hawaii: they came from behind to record a 3-set win after dropping the first set 21-13.

The Community College from Quincy, Calif. is currently 2-2 on the year and they have won two matches in-a-row against Bakersfield College (4-1) and Sierra College (3-2). There are no individual stats listed on the Golden Eagles' website. Â

This weekend will be the Utes' first competition of the season for the beach volleyball team, but they will face No. 11-ranked California on Thursday before heading to Moraga on Friday. In Utah's second year of competition last year, they went 5-12 overall with wins over Oregon and New Mexico.

No. 13 STANFORD

The Cardinal is 2-5 on the season and started their year alongside Saint Mary's at the Outrigger Duke Kahanamoku Beach Classic in Honolulu. In the tournament, they went 0-4, but the only two teams to sweep them were No. 1 UCLA and now 18th-ranked SMC. Since then, they have won two out of their last three contests against Oregon and No. 14 Arizona at the Pac-12 South Beach Invitational in Tuscon, Ariz. The Cardinal's most successful team is Tori Ashkinos and Courtney Bowen. At No. 2, they have gone 4-3 and are the only duo with a winning record this season.

SAN JOSE STATE

The Spartans are 4-3 so far this season, but have dropped their last two contests to Houston Baptist and UL Monroe. Their last four matches took place in Kingsville, Texas at the Emerald Beach Hotel Classic. There, SJSU went 2-2, winning their first two matchups against Missouri Baptist and Texas A&M – Kingsville. Julia Golbeck and Sarah Smevog are a perfect, 7-0 this season, holding down the No. 5 position while three of their matches have gone into a third set.
