SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Saint Mary's (1-8) dropped their second match on Friday with a 4-2 loss against New Mexico State (6-6) at the Golden Gate Invitational.
Damon Kesaris and James Watt won their doubles match as the Gaels' top tandem but SMC was narrowly defeated on Court 2 and 3 to drop the doubles point.
Kesaris came back after falling in a close first set with two 6-0 sets to win in singles. Matis Bot also won a three-set battle on Court 4 and Abhishek Bastola led in his match before it was called.
