SAN BRUNO, Calif. — Mariia Kozyreva and Hind Abdelouahid have been named the WCC's Women's Tennis Doubles Team of the Week after going 2-0 last week against No. 43 Loyola Marymount and No. 8 Pepperdine.

The Gaels' tandem kicked off their week with a comfortable 6-3 win over LMU's top duo of Eva Marie Voracek and Vero Miroshnichenko. The following day, Kozyreva and Abdelouahid upset the Waves' nationally-ranked pair of No. 16 Anastasia Iamachkine and Jessica Failla, 7-5.

Saint Mary's No. 1 doubles pairing is 5-1 this season and are a perfect 3-0 in conference play. It is the second time this season SMC has won a Player of the Week award after Clementine Clement won the singles honor during Week 1.
