AVCA All-Americans Release

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Topping off an accolade-laden senior season, senior Lindsey Knudsen was named an American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Beach Volleyball All-American Honorable Mention.
 
Knudsen was a force atop the Gaels' lineup all season long, pairing with fellow senior Sarah Chase in the No. 1 position. Together, they went 24-5 while defeating 7 ranked opponents: Stanford (3 times), No. 12 Cal, No. 13 LMU, and No. 14 LMU (2 Times). Knudsen and Chase were also selected as the Pair of the Year by the West Coast Conference as well as to the All-WCC First Team. This was her fourth-consecutive All-WCC selection (all on the First Team). Knudsen's career also includes a WCC Freshman of the Year Award in 2016 and a Defensive Player of the Year honor in 2017.
 
Both Knudsen and senior Lindsey Calvin are heading to the USA Volleyball Collegiate Beach Championships this week as the No. 12 seed out of 46. Play begins on May 9 in Hermosa Beach, Calif. and will be streamed live at USAVolleyball.org
