Stump Invite Final Results
DAVIS, Calif. – The Gaels had a number of impressive finishes on Friday at the Stump Invitational, with two women finishing in the top 15 and two men finishing in the top 25. Both of the top finishers for the men and women's teams were freshmen.
For the women's team, freshman Rayna Stanziano nabbed the top spot for the Gaels again as she recorded a 13th place finish with a race time of 22:36.0. Junior teammate Abigayle Mitchell finished just behind her in 14th place with a strong race of her own (22:37.6). Sophomore Kaela Dishion was the third finisher for SMC in 22nd place (22:53.1) followed by freshman Briseida Garcia-Meza in 26th (22:58.2). Freshman Lauren Kearney came in shortly thereafter with a time of 23:37.4. The women's team recored a fourth place finish among seven teams.
On the men's side, freshman Lucas Chung was the Gaels' top-finisher in 18th place with a race time of 25:52.0 while sophomore Anthony Vazquez was close behind in 22nd place (26:01.2). Freshman Xavier Gonzales came in third for Saint Mary's with a 26:18.3 race time, followed by junior teammates Sebastian Andersson (26:42.9) and Alex Riggsby (26:43.4) moments after one another. The Gaels finished in fourth place on Friday.

The Gaels will compete again on September 28th in Sacramento at the Capital Cross Challenge, hosted by Sacramento State.
