GOLF | Rain Concludes Husky Invitational in Final Round

Saint Mary's finished seventh in the Husky Invitational after the third and final round was cancelled due to poor weather conditions.
BREMERTON, Wash. — Due to poor weather conditions, the third and final round of the Gold Mountain Golf Club was cancelled on Tuesday to conclude the Husky Invitational. Saint Mary's finished the tournament in seventh place out of 15 total teams with Ash Hakim at the forefront for the Gaels.
Hakim led the team through the first day of the invitational as he shot 3-under in the second round to place tied for 19th. Hakim also finished second out of 76 competitors in total number of birdies with 11 as three of those were from holes six to eight in round one.
Michael Slesinski and Blake Hathcoat followed close behind Hakim as they tied for 24th with a 1-over finish. Slesinski made an impressive shot on the day as he notched his first career hole-in-one on the 170-yard par 3 5th. Rounding out the tournament for the Gaels were Ethan Ashbrook and Ryan Grauman who each placed tied for 38th.
The host, Washington, took the victory in the invitational as they finished with a score of 22-under.
