QUOTABLE:
- "We played a good team. We were excited to play and it was nice to have the opportunity to play college basketball today. I thought their defense in the first half sped us up a little bit and we didn't play well against it. We started out well in the first half, but their defense helped them get into transition against us." – Randy Bennett
- "We started off well, but after that they started pressing and we started rushing. We still got good shots, but we need to keep moving the ball and play slower. We didn't shoot well today, so we just have to be ready tomorrow to bounce back and bring everything we have." – Matthias Tass
NUMBERS TO KNOW:
- 5: Newcomers that made their debut on Wednesday afternoon. Lemet Bockler, Judah Brown, Jabe Mullins, Mitchell Saxen and Matt Van Komen got their first action in a Saint Mary's uniform.
- 15: Junior center Matthias Tass had a team high in his return from injury last year.
- 10: The combo of Logan Johnson and Tommy Kuhse in the backcourt, combined for 10 total rebounds, each recording five boards.
