MTEN | Banana Slugs Come to Town Saturday

MORAGA, Calif. — Saint Mary's (3-4) will look to play just one contest this week as they will host UC Santa Cruz on Saturday at 2 p.m.
In their most recent match, the Gaels claimed a 4-2 victory over Nevada for the second win at home. Damon Kesaris, James Watt, and Matis Bot each picked up wins in singles action while Kesaris and Watt paired up on doubles courts to secure a 6-3 win as the top doubles duo.
Bot and Abhishek Bastola both lead the team as they each have posted three wins on singles courts so far this season. Doubles tandems Watt/Boris Reckow and Karlo Divkovic/Bot have each recorded two victories in doubles action.
UC SANTA CRUZ
The Banana Slugs own a 2-3 overall record this season as they are most recently coming off a 1-2 weekend after falling to Caltech and Occidental but claimed a 6-3 victory over Whittier. Lucas Chen and Andrew Tjoa lead UC Santa Cruz's efforts as they have each recorded two wins in singles action so far this year. In doubles, three different tandems have each tallied a victory for the Slugs, including two wins on doubles courts against Whittier which secured the doubles point.
