SAN BRUNO, Calif. — The West Coast Conference announced their All-Academic honorees today and six Gaels were selected as honorable mentions to the list. Matis Bot, Nick Combs, Karlo Divkovic, Jackson Hawk, Boris Reckow, and Andy Watterson were those recognized for their achievement in the classroom.
Bot had a 3.44 GPA in his senior season while studying economics. The Frenchman was also a standout on the court with a 9-1 singles record, six of which came in straight sets.
The senior Combs posted a 3.22 GPA in his final year of a business administration degree. He appeared in one doubles match this spring.
Divkovic had a 3.49 GPA while still undecided on his major. He went 6-4 in both singles and doubles action during the spring.
Hawk finished up his economics degree with a 3.25 GPA and won his lone singles match of the spring against UC Santa Cruz.
Reckow is a sophomore studying environmental studies and recorded a 3.32 GPA. He went 3-4 as part of the team's top doubles tandem and also appeared in four singles matches.
Last but not least, the junior politics major Watterson posted a team-best 3.70 GPA and also appeared in three doubles matches and one singles match.
