DAVIS, Calif. - Saint Mary's Men's Tennis had two players advance to the semifinals on Day 1 of the Aggie Invitational hosted by UC Davis. James Watt and Carlos Ramos Membrives will play in the semifinal of the Blue Division in the Men's Open Singles on Saturday, October 2 at 12:30 p.m.

Watt advanced to the semifinal by defeating Russell Henderson 6-3, 7-5, and Mate Voros 7-6, 6-4. Ramos Membrives was dominant, as he defeated Matheo Coupu 6-2, 6-4 and Peter Alam 6-3, 6-4. 

Boris Reckow advanced to the quarterfinal of the Red Division in the Men's Open Singles with a win over Satchel Benn 6-0, 6-2 but fell to Brandon Park in that quarterfinal. Watt and Reckow will team up in the Blue Division of the Men's Open Doubles at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
