RENO, Nev. - Day one of the Wolf Pack Classic was suspended due to darkness at 6:15 Pacific Time. Most teams still have three to four rounds to play, including the Gaels who got 33 holes in on day one.
Weather delays were expected and did happen as snow flurries, rain, and wind caused stoppages in play. The suspended second round will be picked up after the frost burns on the morning according to Head Coach, Scott Hardy, and then round three will begin.
Only eight golfers in the entire field of 15 teams finished the first day below par, but the Gaels did lead the field in Par-3s made and were fourth overall in total pars made.
Saint Mary's was led by Dylan Vanderveer's 73 and Michael Slesinski's and Ryan Hartanto's 76 through the portion of day one they were able to complete.
