MORAGA, Calif. - Saint Mary's College is hosting the ITA Northwest Regional Championships through this weekend at the Korth Tennis Complex, and the Men's Tennis Team had three wins in their six matches on day one.
Boris Reckow defeated Ryan Ali of Santa Clara 6-4, 6-4 and
Carlos Ramos Membrives topped Peter Alam of Pacific 3-6, 6-3, 6-3. Reckow will play Nitzan Ricklis of the University of San Francisco at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. Ramos Membrives will take on Santiago Hinojosa of Santa Clara at 1:00 p.m. on day two.

James Watt had a bye in the first round after winning the A Flight Singles bracket at UC Santa Barbara over the weekend and will face Rudolfs Aksenoks at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. Watt and his doubles partner Reckow also had a bye in the doubles bracket and will take on the Benn/Dudockin team from Nevada at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday.

Ramos Membrives and
Felipe Rincon were victorious in their first-round doubles match up over the tandem of Cmager/Hinojosa from Santa Clara, winning 8-7 in three sets. Next up for them in the second round is the Keki/Maior combo from Sacramento State at 9:00 a.m. Thursday.

Caelan Potts had to withdraw due to injury from the singles bracket and his doubles tandem with
Karlo Divkovic.
