WTEN | Two Gaels Pick Up All-WCC First Team Honors

SAN MATEO, Calif. — Saint Mary's had two seniors recognized today by the West Coast Conference with the announcement of All-WCC honors. Mariia Kozyreva was named to the singles First Team while also being selected to the doubles First Team alongside teammate Danielle McIntyre.
Kozyreva posted an 11-1 record in singles this season while topping out at No. 17 nationally in the ITA rankings. The senior began the spring 9-0 with three wins over ranked opponents. Kozyreva has now received First Team honors in every season they've been awarded (no All-WCC recognition was handed out last year).
McIntyre and Kozyreva earned their first all-conference honor this year after going 8-5 as the team's No. 1 pair. The Gaels' duo was undefeated in league play at 6-0 and were 7-3 in their last 10 matches.
The honor for McIntyre was the first All-WCC selection of her career in either singles or doubles. Kozyreva's selection was the third of her career and second First Team nod. She was also named to the First Team back in 2019 with Hind Abdelouahid.
