LAST TIME OUT
Saint Mary's saw a pair of blazing fast times during their lasts race, which came at UC Riverside on September 18. Nolan Dozier ran the fourth-fastest 8k time in Saint Mary's history en route to a sixth-place finish out of the 187-runner field. Not to be outdone, Rayna Stanziano came across the line with the second-fastest 6k time in SMC history, and finished eighth overall in the crowded field. Those top performances helped the Gaels earn a ninth-place finish out of 22 for the women, and a fourth-place finish out of 24 for the men.
WCC HOSTS
With just two meets left before Saint Mary's hosts this year's WCC Championship in Concord on the 29th of October, the Gaels will see plenty of conference foes over the next two invites. Beginning with Friday's race at Pacific, Saint Mary's will also race in the annual Bronco Invite on Saturday, October 16 in Santa Clara. That is one of the larger meets the Gaels will run in, and usually features quick times, making it the perfect precursor to the WCC Championship two weeks later.
