MORAGA, Calif. – The first two-goal game as a Gael by Wade Muttitt has earned him the Bay Alarm Student-Athlete of the Week.

The transfer from Feather River College scored two goals in his season opener as a freshman for the Golden Eagles, but his two goals at Pacific last Wednesday was his first brace at the NCAA Division I level.

Muttitt scored in the first 20 seconds of the match in Stockton, Calif. in the Gaels' 3-1 win. He received a long pass from
Boyd Curry and blasted a right-footed shot on one touch from just inside the penalty area, past a leaping keeper into the left side of the net.

Muttitt's second goal of the night was all created by the Crowthorne, England native's defense. Muttitt took the ball off the foot of a Tigers defender and raced ahead into the penalty area where fired another right-footed shot into the back of the net in the 31st minute.

The goals were his third and fourth of the season giving the sophomore the team lead.
