Napier Wins Bay Alarm Student Athlete of the Week Award

MORAGA, Calif. - Gaels outfielder Gavin Napier was named the Bay Alarm Student Athlete of the Week for the week of February 21 after an outstanding opening weekend for Saint Mary's Baseball.
Napier went 6 for 12 over the weekend with six runs scored and four RBI in the three-game sweep of the UC Davis Aggies. The Livermore, Calif. native also stole a base in one attempt and had a double and a triple, as the sophomore sparked the Gaels offense in the lead off spot in all three games.
After being limited to 11 games as a freshman due to injury the Granada High product is poised for a breakout year in 2022.
