Dent’s Career-Game Earns Him Second Shamrock Office Solutions Student-Athlete of the Week Honor

MORAGA, Calif. — For the second time in three weeks, sophomore point guard Joshua Dent has been named the Shamrock Office Solutions Student-Athlete of the Week. The Wollongong, Australia native set multiple career-highs in the Gaels 88-75 victory over Florida Atlantic, and becomes the second Gaels to win the award multiple times this season, joining women's soccer's Sydney Middaugh.

Dent continued his red-hot play this past week, matching his career-high of 24 points and eight made field goals against Florida Atlantic, while also setting a new career-high with seven boards, and dishing out six dimes. Over his last three contests, Dent has averaged 20.3 PPG and 5.7 APG, shooting 60% from the field and 87.5% from the stripe. The sophomore ranks in the top-five in the West Coast Conference in assists, assists per game, free throws made, free throw percentage, and minutes played per game. Despite being a first year starter, Dent has quickly risen up the ranks as one of Coach Randy Bennett's most trusted players.
