MORAGA, Calif. - The 2025 WCC Champs announced their full 2026 spring schedule on Thursday, December 11th, featuring 55 total contests, 28 non-conference and 27 conference games. Saint Mary's will kick off their 2026 campaign on Friday, February 13th with a three-game home series against Big East member Creighton. The Bluejays will visit Moraga for the first time in their series history after hosting the Gaels in Omaha last season where they took the series two games to one.
Head coach Eric Valenzuela will lead the Gaels in his ninth overall season and his third in his second stint since returning to Saint Mary's in 2024 and will look to follow a historic 2025 season, after winning the program's second WCC title and knocking off the 8th ranked Beavers in the NCAA Regional.
"Once again, our goal is to challenge our guys in the non-conference schedule with road trips and quality opponents to prepare us for an intense and difficult postseason", said Valenzuela. "We're excited about a lot of our return games and with the addition of Seattle U, the conference is only going to get tougher but we're more than ready for the challenge and can't wait to get started" (Valenzuela).
Notable non-conference series for the Gaels include their season opener with the Creighton Bluejays, a SoCal road trip to take on San Diego State and a round-robin with Grand Canyon and Rice in Scottsdale, Arizona. Additional single contests scattered throughout the schedule include UC Santa Barbara, UC Davis and ACC members Cal and Stanford. May 12th's matchup with the Cardinal will be their first since 2013.
West Coast Conference play will start on Friday, March 20th in a three-game home series against Pepperdine. Home conference series include the Waves, Pacific, Gonzaga, Seattle U and San Francisco for senior weekend as the Gaels will hit the road for Portland, Santa Clara, San Diego and LMU.
