ABOUT CSU BAKERSFIELD
The Roadrunners return 15 letter winners and welcome 26 newcomers this season. Seven returners appeared in at least 20 games or pitched at least 20 innings a year ago. This season's newcomers include 17 NCAA or NJCAA transfers and nine true freshmen.

Bakersfield was voted eighth in the Big West Pre-Season Coaches Poll ahead of the 2022 season. The Roadrunners earned 35 total points and join Cal State Fullerton, Hawai'i, CSUN and UC San Diego in a congested group near the middle of the standings. CSUB was chosen to finish last in 2021, but spent much of the season near the top of the standings before ending the year in seventh place.

ABOUT NORTHERN COLORADO

Redshirt-senior Josh Glenn already logged Northern Colorado's first three-hit game of the season over the weekend against Pacific. Sophomores Shaydon Kubo and Garrett Fisher each reached base safely in all four games against Pacific.

Once on base, UNC showcased some obvious speed against the Tigers. Northern Colorado was a perfect 6-6 in stolen base attempts with Carson Gross and Lincoln Turner each collecting two stolen bags.

In the first four games of the season, no one in the Summit League was better in strikeout to walk ratio than the UNC pitching staff with a mark of 2.07.
