STOCKTON, Calif. — After Saint Mary's Beach Volleyball closed out a busy Saturday with three beach matches, including their finale against the Pacific Tigers, the Gaels will take on Pacific again this week, part of three-consecutive matches against the Tigers. Tuesday afternoon's beach match will be at the home of the Tigers, and eight days later, the two teams will meet again, this time in Moraga.

LAST TIME OUT
Saint Mary's took part in the Hornet Beach Challenge on Saturday, hosted by Sacramento State. In three matches starting at 9:00 am, the Gaels were nearly perfect, dropping just one pair to win 14 of 15 pairs en route to three wins. San Francisco, Sacramento State, and Pacific were the opponents, and three Gaels pairs were perfect against those schools: the top pair, second pair, and fourth pair. Three different combinations suited up in the fifth pair for Saint Mary's, and those three combinations all produced winning results.
 
ABOUT PACIFIC
The Tigers have yet to win a beach match this season, beginning the 2022 year 0-6. Their season began in one of the most difficult fashions, taking on their WCC rivals and 14^th-ranked Pepperdine. That opening match of the Cal State Bakersfield Tournament was the first of three losses on the weekend of February 26, as the Tigers also dropped matches to the tournament hosts, and to NAIA Vanguard. Tuesday's match is their home opener, and will be followed by another home match against Delta College on Thursday.
