CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Saint Mary's Golf got another good performance from freshman Kristian Bressum as he finished round one 3-under par at the Lewis Chitengwa Memorial hosted by the University of Virginia.
Bressum finished the first round tied for fourth among 76 golfer, was 5-under on par fives, and has eight birdies after day one. Fellow freshman Connor Reis finished the first round with a 71 to make par, and has made par 25 times through the first day. The Gaels as a whole have the third-most pars made and are ninth of 14 teams.
Round two was suspended due to darkness at 7:35 p.m. Eastern and will be resumed before starting round two on Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. The third round will start immediately afterward with a shotgun start using the same pairings as rounds 1 and 2.
