GOLF | Saint Mary's Wraps Up 2023 Season at WCC Championships

BREMERTON, Wash. – Saint Mary's Golf finished seventh of nine teams at the WCC Golf Championships.
Henry Fitzhugh finished as the top Gael at 219 strokes overall and 3-over par. The UC Irvine transfer finished 1-over on par threes and led SMC in birdies with 12.
Connor Reis had a great finish to the tournament with a 69 in round three to finish at 211 strokes for overall, and had the Gaels lone Eagle for the tournament. His 69 in round three was the third best score of any golfer in the final round.
It was the second-straight season a very young Gaels team finished seventh at the WCC Championships after finishing fourth or better at the tournament in 17 of the previous 19 seasons before that under head coach Scott Hardy.
BYU claimed the championship in their final year as members of the WCC, edging out San Francisco by one stroke.
