GREENWOOD, Ind. – Saint Mary's Women's Tennis had three players named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team in 2023.

Seniors
Lene Mari Hovda and
Jordan Harris, along with sophomore
Stefanie Silva were named to the CSC Academic All-District Team.

To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his or her current institution. Nominated athletes must have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's games, and no student-athlete is eligible until he/she has completed one full calendar year at his/her current institution and is at least a sophomore academically and athletically.

Hovda was spectacular in the classroom for the Gaels with a 3.937 GPA, as the Business Administration major went 11-4 in dual match play. Harris posted a 3.694 GPA and the Management and Technology major was named WCC Honorable Mention as well. The two seniors combined to go 12-7 as a doubles tandem during season, earning a #87 ranking in the NCAA national doubles team rankings.Â

Silva had a 3.952 GPA and the Biology major went 15-7 overall on the year and 15-7 in dual match play.
